I don't have any idea what was wrong with your guy's machine, these things were doing an excellent job. I saw one of them cut along a drainage ditch, close to a foot deep, right down the middle of the head and it didn't leave much at all standing in the worst of the dip The contour master tilt on the header was working both ways to keep both ends on the ground, which seemed to be no problem. I would have cut around that ditch but this fellow seemed to be in a hurry and took a full swath. Biggest thing I saw was the huge capacity of those things, must have been going 5+mph in very heavy irrigated beans, with bin extensions that looked like it would hold maybe 3-400 bus. They needed an extension on the cab roof, though.
