Will foliar fungicide reduce vomitoxin?

I'm not sure exactly which fungicide and crop combination you are talking about but in say the case of wheat, a heading time application of say Folicur does sometimes reduce vomitoxin. It also may do nothing, depends on the timing of everything.

Strobularins can actually increase vomitoxin, that's why labels don't permit application of strobularins in wheat at say bloom time. Applications have to be earlier. Earlier applications sometimes reduce vomitoxin.

So it's a mixed bag and the only consistency is inconsistency.
