I would not base anything off University research plots studying manure applications.
We consistently have way above average corn yields (for the area) using only 30# of 28%, but do not apply like the U reccomends. Manure application is not a science, but it is technique sensitive and requries a lot of effort and attention to detail to get maximum benefit.
