The excuse is they dont want grade 4 and 5 corn, which is what some of the corn being tested is getting down graded too. This is a great time for the co-ops to make some points in the countryside as to the best of my knowledge the co-ops are still recieving grain. Only downside is they are scared to death about what they are going to do should they recieve all this grain then the end users refuse to take it. Thats basically the excuse the elevators that arent taking are using, " we dont want it because we wont be able to sell it " The arguement the ethanol plants are using is that sure, they can take 5ppm corn, but when they get finishted the vomitoxins have been concentrated at up too 15ppm. whether that is true I have NO idea, but thats the story they are giving out..
