Is that because there are quality standards that are rigidly followed, resulting in a lot of rejection? Or do they play the game of not taking everything because demand has changed on their side, and they're allowed to do that by contract? Combination? Alternative use is cattle feed? If percentage of rejection is large/can be large..........does that pretty much mean that a beet producer has to have a connection in the livestock side? Merely curiosity--------not being a beet eater, seems to be a pretty large business for such a specific product.............I get several newspapers/publications that cover the North and central Western areas, and always see a lot of beet equipment for sale. |
