Subject: RE: Autotoxicity

Bill, in circumstances like yours, I also seen new alfalfa sprouts in the fall after receiving some rain, but they never seem to survive or thicken the stand any.  Is that autotoxicity at work?

What are the effects of autotoxicity supposed to be like?  Does it kill germination..... or kill off seedlings that happen to sprout?
