IL | Jim, we campared the numbers today and visited for an hour on that exact issue. It came down to, he said" he was concered of the safenessof the 10-34 in that seed zone(I would mix 10 gal or so in the middle), plus the number of gal to haul.........vs...............DAP in fall, his pop-up in the spring, with the 28 on the side of the row.
Plus I don't care to mess with fert. when I want to put seed in the ground. I think I will wait on adding it to the planter, go the route I have been thinking of all along........everything but the K in the strip, somewhere. I will try the Zn and S with the 10-34 or 28, either way.
I would't be afraid of P loss over winter, but am wanting to be very deliberate in the N use/timing/placement
Lots of ways to skin a cat and plant a crop.
Thanks Jim | |
