Your last sentence is especially well put Bruce, thank you.

For the record I have had about 3 calls in the past few days from folks that said this year their strip till outyielded some other tillage side by side comparisons. One in Northern Iowa was particularly convincing in this season.

In the end, all else being equal, I think yields are about a wash between strip and mulch till. There are just so many other factors involved it is tough to attribute yield differences between them. Costs however are not difficult to identify, as you point out.
