From what I have heard, the plot is pretty well verified.  The grower said that the plot lost money, but that was not the point of the excercise.  From what I heard, the yield plot was the only soybeans he grew.  His main crop is green beans. 

Look at a map and see where he is.   If you are familiar with MO you will find it to be even more amazing.
