Don't know what that entails but if it means you are just starting out farming i would stick to the locals who can help you, if it means just starting to buy from far away then it's a matter of buying products that don't need a lot of attention. For instance generic chemicals. You get what you pay for and should know what your getting, not a lot of service provided and not much needed. We bought soybean seed, knew what we wanted and just a matter of making sure we got what we paid for. Got to send the check to the seed company so didn't have to worry there unless the company went out of business. Some have you pay after the truck is sitting in the yard. I would be careful of pay now and get delivery later. You never know.
Service in this area has never been any good anyway, can't lose what you haven't got.
We bought some seed by requesting some names on this site. They didn't advertise here but we were looking. It's strange though how the local dealer last year couldn't come close but this year said he could offer the same deal. Makes you wonder. | |
