NC Iowa | Funny you mentioned moneycounts. That is the 30 year old program that I want to upgrade from. I still like it and works well for me. Just that limited by how many people know dos commands and have vintage computers and printers to access the data.
Money counts was by Parsons technology of cedar rapids iowa. Bob parsons has an quite an interesting story.

Is setting up another business for personal finances something I should consider too?
Edit. Moneycounts was not y2k compliant. You could not enter an accounting year past 1990. However if you began a new year, it would increment the date into the 2000's.
I was using account prefixes to distinguish personal and business accounts, and do reports for one or the other.
