SC KS | I am trying to make a sheet do the following...
I want to use check marks to indicate a selection. Then I want excel to condense the selections so that if the only 2 check marks I have selected are from the 1st and the 100th rows that the resulting list is only 2 rows.
1 C&K FARMS
2 - Dryland
3 North 1/4
4 East 1/4
5 West 1/4
6 South 1/4
7 - Irrigated
8 North Pivot
9 South Pivot
10 +Pasture <----Could still be expanded btw.
Now say I only want to select; thus continue working with in another list (North 1/4(cell D3), South 1/4(cell D6, and South Pivot(cell D9)). BTW when I say list I don't mean a drop down list. The way I currently have my excel set up is w/ groups so I can expand and collapse Dryland and Irrigated. The check mark boxes are to the right of I.E. North 1/4(cell D3), so in cell E3. I have them assigned to cell F3 where I get true if checked/false if not.
The Result I'd like is...
North 1/4
South 1/4
North Pivot
not...
North 1/4
South 1/4
South Pivot
What formula do I need? I don't have this all in a table either. Not sure if a table would cooperate w/ the Groups. I've looked at IF(Match), If(Index), Match(Index); Im sure one of these is probably what I need but I can't get my head to think about it correctly and Google results in everyone using a table.
