Iowa | It sounds like your church is locked into using Quicken. I can only think of a couple people in our congregation that use Quicken to begin with. Many are older and don't even use computer accounting software. We'd have a hard time getting anyone to be treasurer if we were forcing them to use a specific software program. So long as the job gets done, the books balance with the bank every month, monthly and annual reports are complete and presented in an acceptable format (and maintain the traditional chart of accounts), we let the treasurer decide how to get the job done. This is a smaller congregation that does not have a large payroll or many 1099s to file. That may or may not work in your church.
