The fire stick was very hard to set up, i tried to get a free app and it bogged down in me having to have an account and a credit card and on - nope not gonna happen for a free app! What's their game?
The Roko was easy to set up, they have Tubi TV which offers a lot of free movies to look through.
Hum, I would say your 3meg would work if you really get that, but often one gets less then advertised, and then you will be screatching some.... it should work, but no one else can do much internetting at the same time then.
I got the 1040 version, I don't think you would make the 4K versions work at all? Perhaps they will throttle down, but why bother buying something that won't work.
I subscribe to Sling through it, has worked well. I'm so tin foil hat on services like this having my credit card info, I run Sling with gift cards.
