![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=45&type=profile&rnd=671) Kansas | But he didn't run the stop sign. That is fact. He pulled up. Stopped. 1 mississippi, 2 mississippi, 3 mississippi.........look, ah heck, can make it, go........
There is no law on the books stating a cop can give escort to a vehicle with an expired tag from point A: to Point B: within city limits. Driver of Car 1 has no current D.L. Has 2 dui's on record. Obviously a road hazard.
I could see a failure to yield ticket possibly to the pickup driver. Do you think he's really liable though when the other is in 2 major infractions proving they are not acceptable by states laws to drive and the vehicle hit was being operated illegally? Not to mention the cop giving car 1 driver the ok to do something that is not legal?
I think a good attorney and a stubborn insurance company and the pickup driver could walk away from this with nothing more than a lawyer bill and a smile on his face. | |
