No one can recognize a joke. I am not that dense, and knew it was likely a shotgun. Not many could hold a pellet gun on one appendage and put three in a ringer.
But, the fact does remain, they have not mentioned the type of firearms used quite as much or with the same intensity as when an "assault type" weapon is used in a crime. Nor have they pointed out that this could have been avoided if we had more laws against such.
This was a bad deal all around. Sorry if I was misunderstood. The man was a sicko without a doubt. Why on earth he feels the need to take out innocents, regardless of his intent to go there for his ex or not.
