I think that's the problem. Not pushing/crimping copper deep enough into the wires.
Tried again this afternoon, Shimmed the connector tighter into the tool and re crimped it and held it for about 10 seconds. Tested it and all 8 wires worked this time. This is the kit I bought off ebay.
is there a trick to putting t-568 ends on a cat 5e cable?
