| Last year or the year before car and driver ran a story on 3/31 regarding that Toyota had the rights to use the Oldsmobile name and would start badging certain vehicles as Oldsmobiles. It went on to state the GM did not "re-register" the trade mark and logo and Toyota found this out and took over the name.
It was an April Fools joke.
However can someone please tell me what GM/Chrysler/Ford and Toyota acctually get out of Nascar these days? Nascar uses old push rod V8 technology and carb'ed engines that are all the same spec (358 cu in) and the only difference is who builds the engines (funny how Toyota's with Gibbs are now real good and the other Toyota's still suck)
I guess the headlight decals are different but last year dodge could not figure out what decal to put on the car. Charger or Avenger. What a joke. | |
