| Had this happen more than I wanted, so I called my carrier, AlTel. They said they would research it. When they called me back, they said someone at development told them it was the GPS signal your phone puts out to locate you in case of emergency.
You can turn your signal on or off for the GPS signal. I leave mine on because of the remoteness of my operation. If I was to dial 911 and then not complete the call, they could locate the cell phone location by GPS coordinates given off by my cell phone.
True or False I don't know, but that what I was told. | |
