New Mexico | Hot packs. Lay down with hot pack under the neck at base of skull.
Take a pillow, put a towel on top, put a piece of plastic on the towel, and simply use a hot small hand towel or fair size hot wash rag.
When it cools then reheat it ( I just use hot water from the tap ) and do it again and again and again.
What that does is relax the neck muscles, and once they're relaxed it relaxes the nerves which run up over the head to the forehead.
She'll get so she feels those nerves over the top crack loose.
The heat causes an increase in blood pressure and blood flow to the head too, so that's perhaps a factor.
Tried everytnig under the sun, including prescribed experimental non headache drugs.....
threw ALL it away....hot packs when ever a headache was felt coming on...and eventually the migraines Totally quit occuring.
Also, hot pack the neck, then turn over and hotpack the forehead too ( rotate, 2 or 3 hotpacks on the neck, then a couple on the forehead, then the neck etc.
