![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=8002&type=profile&rnd=866) St. Gregor, SK, Canada | Hi,
I don't mean to "butt in", but have a bit of experience with the Europeans coming over here...
Be very careful if they want you to manage the operation for them - they expect unrealistic yields, and returns. I have the unfortunate ability to speak fluent German (no, I'm a Canadian - born in Argentina, and came to Canada when only a few months old - parents are from a German ancestry ;) ) - From speaking with a few of them, they expect 6 - 8 tonnes / hectar (100bu/acre) wheat, just as an example.
You said they are on marginal land - that sounds very familiar - they will get riled up badly when the yield is not what they expect - to the point of them suing the farm "manager" for improper management.
I'm not saying this particular people are like that, but a lot of the Europeans coming over here lately are.
I saw you said they don't speak much English - are they German /Austrian or from the Netherlands?
Just my $0.02 :)
