CRJ - 4/15/2009 08:09 is all that is going on. Vertical integration of a mature business. Unbridled capitalism. Anyone who has ever played Monopoly knows just how it ends. Nothing good has come from any government social strategy that allows this to happen. Remember history and Feudal Europe? The resulting accumulation of wealth into the hands of the few (relative) concludes in a government that is forced to socialism to keep the masses happy. Hmmn, where is that happening now? The greastest tragedy of our lifetime is the loss of all opportunity for our children to do anything other than become the workers of some corporation. jmho.

Did I read that right? The root cause of socialism is unbridled capitalism?

In the past couple decades, there have been more opportunities for young people to start something from scratch and turn it into a major success than probably any other time in history. With the resources available today, a lean fast moving company can outrun the larger ones in a number of different fields. The question will be how that plays out in farming.
