I must say, I am not a fan. For many reasons.

I have been on a vacation train. The Cumbers and Toltech in Southern CO. I am no expert. I also live in a very rural area. Again, no experience.

If private industry wants to take this on, great. They won't though, it is too high risk. Liabilities with trains and crossings is high. I don't see it as profitable either way. To build overpasses at crossings that carry an traffic would be a hellacious expense. It is probably neccesary for safety. Not just because people ignore crossing. But the speed at which these trains move. Easily catch the unaware.

I am tired and not articulating my thoughts well. Bottom line--I don't want my tax dollars paying for it.

I will revisit this at another time.
