Thought I would do a follow up on the final assembly.

The RAM mount came in the mail today .

Turns out there was going to be abundant space behind the bar with the clamp installed. This allowed for the bar and tabs to be turned downward and inward towards the glass.

Here is the mount installed on the bar.

Here is the full bar and mount between the posts.

Perhaps more by luck than skill being able to rotate the bar down and inward has made the latches fully functional again.

It is snug but they will now engage in the detent position and hold the window open.

Hope the info. helps others out that are needing something similar.
