How is the Pixel 2 the best phone? I would think the S9 is the only Android phone that would have a chance at that title.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I used to be fairly hard on Apple but I’ve now had Apple phones since the iPhone 4S.

From my perspective the advantages are as follows:

1. I believe Apple cares more about your privacy than Google by a wide margin

2. With an Apple phone, I don’t get tons of junk software pre-loaded on my device

3. Apple provides iOS updates regularly and keeps the operating system secure on much older devices. This is really my number 1 reason, these are not organized by priority. For example, with the soon to be released iOS 12, iPhone 5S users will be able to have the latest operating system on their phone for another full year. That will be 6 years of use on a single phone with a current operating system. Most Android phones don’t make it much past 2 years as I understand it.

That being said, Android price is tempting and it seems Android devices are often less restrictive than iOS devices so there are certainly advantages to Android phones.
