Red River Valley | I am a Lenovo Thinkpad fan after having both Dell and IBM Thinkpas in college. There is stark difference in quality, granted this was 15 years ago. I have a Thinkpad W530 from 2012 on a docking station and 3 monitors. Works great when I go to training classes and still outperfoms most current off the shelf laptops. The current replacement for the W series is the P series from Lenovo

My wife has a Lenovo Thinkpad T460 with a docking station and 2 monitors she really likes it because she has two monitors when she needs them and can sit on the couch and work with it also. It is nice and light and has great battery life for what we use it for.
Both of these laptops have i7 processors with 16 and 20 gig of ram. The W series has a quad core processor and the T460 has a dual core.
I recommend at least 16 gig of ram and a SSD HD Windows will sit on 6 gig of ram all day.
I know Lenovo is a Chinese company, but all R and D is still done in Japan. | |
