I see other posts earlier, but thought I'd start again. My laptop running Win 10 did an update as i closed it down last evening. This morning it ran through the "updating - do not close down your computer' rigmarole, then gave me the beautiful scenery that came with the last update. When it finally got to "Welcome" I thought it was about ready for me to get going. It then went to a blank screen, and then a small white box in the upper left hand corner - "personalised settings'. That sat there for ever! [or it seemed like that was what it was going to do!] Then a message that personalised settings were not responding. Still on this blank screen. I see in the posts below that Windows is withdrawing its update. Fine - but how do I deal with a blank screen that does not allow me to go anywhere, - would love to "restore" to before it updated. But the blank screen is just that BLANK. Any suggestions? TIA. Think I'm OK now. Tried Ctrl- Alt -Del - that brought up the normal alternatives box. Chose 'Log out' - and now I am back to normal! Whew!
