maybe, maybe not
when a desktop computer asks for a webpage it asks for the desktop version.... likewise when a mobile device asks for a webpage it asks for the mobile version
so depending on how closely verizon wants to monitor you they CAN tell what kind of device you are using it on......
whether they will or not depends on how desperate they are
