Yes, the column is too narrow.

This happens to me fairly often. The numbers in the column themselves fit but when you add them up, the total is too large to fit. The system is warning you by showing the ### symbols.

Move the cursor to the top on the border between that column and the one to the right. The appearance should change to a <--->, then click on that and drag the dividing boundary to the right to widen the column. There are other ways to widen the column but this is the method I usually use.

The first picture shows the problem. Note the cursor was moved to the top of the dividing line between the columns. I then clicked on it and slide to the right. The column dividing line moves to the right. I continued to slide to the right until I felt the column was wide enough. The second picture shows the end result.
