southern MN | So your browser remembers what you read through ‘cookies’, which is little small files of info the browser keeps on many websites you visit.
Over time this pile of cookies gets really big, and slows your computer down. As well some bad web sites can keep track of things or give you false messages through these cookies.
It’s good to empty them every few months.
On the other hand some of the more strict security settings will empty the cookies every time you close the browser. This means your browser will ‘forget’ everything you had just read.
So, in the software upgrade, I think a browser or a security setting got changed that will clear out your cookies very often.
You need to find that and set it back to something more reasonable.
It could be in a security section, or in the browser itself section.
