If the pickup is new enough you should be able to use apple car play which will give you apple maps. Waze is a Google product that will only work with android auto as far as I know. I think the displays became car play compatible in 16 or 17.
We use android auto in our 19 car and it works but is not as good as a dedicated GPS display even if it gives you some other things.
