Blooming where I am planted! | My mom always said that small-town cops are just hanging around with not much to do, waiting for some unsuspecting out-of-towner (or even better, out-of-stater) to come through. On my trip this weekend, I heeded all the in-town speed limits for exactly that reason, and discovered cops-in-waiting hidden in some very interesting places (not the least of which was smack at the bottom of some very long hills which would have been gleeful to zoom right down at top speed!! ARRGGHHHH!!!)!
Now, one thing you DO NOT want to do is peeve off a Chicago city cop. Trust me, these guys have a nasty reputation for doing all kinds of unnecessary things like beatdowns and "searches" and they do get away with it. Overall they have a bad attitude and aren't afraid to take it on on folks. Mind your P's and Q's if you are ever in this city and don't get Chicago's finest's feathers ruffled. |
