NE SD | Internet comes in through the phone lines which are underground. It will stop working whenever rain is imminent or it is actually raining but it doesn't really make sense to me since it doesn't actually have to be raining. Its primarily frustrating when trying to see how a storm is developing an hour or so before it hits. Will start to work again almost as soon as the storm passes but sometimes we have to reboot the router to get it to start working. I've had my ISP out many times over the years and they have put in a dual band router which seemed to help a bit. DSL not fiber optic lines. Can anyone explain why and suggest what i might be able to do about it?
Edit: It is the router that seems to quit....or the signal to the router. At first I thought we might have some kind of interference in the house that gets more intense when it rains. Running cables from certain locations in the house directly to the router seems to help but still will shut off if it even threatens to rain.
