Subject: RE: Cloud Education?

I use OneDrive for my engineering consulting business. I don’t use nearly all of the power features but it is effortless. All my business files are in one folder on my PC and they are fully synced on OneDrive, there is just too much risk of hardware failure to do it myself. I occasionally get on them from another PC or my iPad and that is also very easy.

I also occasionally backup my laptop to my NAS, but it’s just too risky to rely on that. What if my house burns down, etc. And the cloud is too convenient.

To the OP, if you are a windows user starting from scratch, I would strongly recommend OneDrive. From the outside, I’m not a security professional, I would judge the odds of getting hacked personally are way higher than Microsoft getting hacked. Just like the best way to get hacked is for someone to hack your JD dealership, or Gemplers, something like that. They are a way softer target of opportunity than Microsoft or Google.
