| We use Brother mfc-l5900dw at work. Mid-range printer for medium size business. I have had mine it for 2 or 3 years. Probably had 50,000+ 28 lb paper through it. Sometime last year, I checked and I had printed 36,000 pages through the counter on the printer.
At my job, I print a lot of pages with the heavy paper. The toner is $105 and prints 8,000 pages per cartridge according to Brother. I measured it one time and got ~7500 pages on one cartridge. Not bad consider that a few pages are 75%+ black coated. We have 10 of these mfc printers. They cost about $300 but the toner is cheap and cheap per page. We have several Brother printers for personal use and have no problems what so ever with them. | |
