I suppose you could have a dual boot setup, running Windows just enough for SMS or whatever accounting software you use, then back to Linux. But if you go online or move files around, you still run the risk of infection on the Windows side. I'm not a huge fan of Windows 10, especially from an upgrade, but it's better than 8.1 and a lot better than 8.0...so it could be worse. But, for now, it's what we're stuck with -- and that is the way it feels. If you are going to run Windows, try upgrading to Win 10, or just buy a new machine.
