I'm still using Ubuntu because of its convenience. I think they tried to make it more point and click, like Microsoft stuff, but retained the flexibility that command line users like.
My old town job folks used Red Hat. They had a team of IT and security folks to make it much more convenient (and safer) for folks that used it.
