East central Iowa | I too am baffled by what's going on. I started by using .5 that gave me just the first letter of column a2. So changing that to 1 gave me the first 3 letters.
Looking at the formula that I posted and used, I still can't figure out what's going on.
The business that received payment changes with every row.
If you ever figure out and understand the formula that I posted, please post an explanation. The formula works in LibreOffice and Excel both.
.75 gives you 2 letters and 1 gives you 3 letters
