southern MN | Several years ago I got an HP Spectre laptop. They are a little, or lot, higher end, especially at that time. Mine has a regular USB port and a couple of the newer usb-C ports. The new C type will become more common in the future, mich faster port and can supply more power through it.
It is still a fast good machine several years later.
I can’t say I am familiar with the current batch of machines, but it appears with a quick look they have kept the Spectre lime as a top shelf machine.
I’ve heard good things on the Microsoft machines the other person mentioned, not their cheap versions but the more business ones.
Nothing wrong your tower setup, that used to be the way i liked a computer more bang for the buck and easier to add stuff. But I find these days there isn’t much to add any more, anything you want plug in a usb device.
