When I go to bed to recharge, my phone goes to it's cord to recharge reguardless of the amount of charge in the battery.
Doing this I never worry about rundown battery.
My low end Samsung is over four years old and I can't see that the battery has changed.
Exception, when using it for navigation its always pluged in.
