I use Excel 2007, hopefully your version isn't to much different

If you are looking at the example that Robert posted, I can explain from it.
He used Data Validation. Look at the pictures that I posted.

My picture Data Validation 1
- select cell A2
- select data validation tab
- select data validation, and it brings up the popup menu
as you can see, for cell A2 the source for his dropdown is pre typed in as the source

My picture Data Validation 2
With this picture i tried to show you how to do data validation with data pre typed into cells.
I pre typed the data into cells G2 through G6
- select data validation, and it brings up the popup menu
- select list
- select source box
- click cell G2, drag to G6, and release the mouse button
- select OK
Now when you select that cell, you have drop down choices from cell data

I am also uploading the changes I made to Roberts example.
