MI | I had to laugh with this story...
My Grandpa Boda ate onions quite regular. As a child, the family could only afford to grow plenty of onions, which his Momma would make soup with . He always would gripe and say his brothers and sisters took all the onions and he got the 'tasty' broth. But they were hardly ever sick.
In keeping with the story told, he was the longest know survivor of Leukemia (18 yrs). Though he was wrought with many diseases from the wars -- he kept on going... He attributed this to onions. Couldn't use them in his supper, but he faithfully ate one a day.
Our family will cut a few and keep them around the house and see how it goes.
( the flu is real bad 'round these parts - school closed and all.)
Remember the vaccine is made a year prior to distribution... they guess what strands to put in it, ones that you Might need ...
I 'd rather - guess myself and eat my onions
and my words if needed.
Thank you for the story.. brought a smile on my face.
