North Iowa | By the way the belt looks in your picture, I'm not sure I would replace it at all. The backside of the belt looks in great shape, only cracks appear to be the small ones in the ribs, right? I went out and looked at our four vehicles, ranging from 23,000 miles to 145,000 miles (bought new, so I know it is the original belt) and ALL the belts look like the one in your pics. The old single vees would crack very deep into the belt, these serpentine belts only seem to crack into the ribs. I'm thinking they don't weaken the belt at all!
Or maybe I'm wrong.
