MW ON | I've made a few batches of this already, and it keeps disappearing. I'll need to hide it better. Bagged up in those cute little baggies with designs on, tied with a curly ribbon, it makes a lovely hostess gift. Here's the recipe, but you must forgive the title, as I did not name it:
White Trash
4 cups golden graham cereal
1 cup peanuts
2 cups white chocolate merkins (those round disc thingys used in making chocolates)
Melt the merkins, pour over the cereal and peanuts, spread on cookie sheet to cool. Break apart and store in air-tight container. I am not sure on it's (shelf) life expectancy, as it never lasts long here.
That is the original recipe, which I will admit is a little boring. So, you can spice it up however you like. The last batch I made, I added chopped almonds, about a cup, and a cup of dried cranberries. It was devoured just as quickly. You may have to hunt a little to find the golden grahams cereal. It can be substitued with another squarish cereal, but I cannot guarentee your 100% satisfaction.
