Chebanse, IL.....

There's always a couple of things I like to do that I consider routine maintenance to my drive vehicles.

I change serpentine belts every couple of yrs, maybe less, or whenever I see cracks. BTW-the replacement belt from F&F IS a segmented-rib belt...so maybe it won't crack on the ribs. Actually, I should've changed this belt on the Buick before, I think.

I also change batteries usually before battery goes dead. Some folks like to remind me that it has a 3 or 5 or 7 yr warranty..or whatever. But to me, you usually only get to test that warranty once. Having wife, son, or someone call me from a deserted parking lot @ 2200 hrs saying the "battery is dead" isn't worth the few bucks it costs me to attempt (no sure thing) to stay ahead of the problem w/replacements. The warranty usually only covers a few bucks towards new battery anyway-I'll just go ahead & scrap a working battery instead.
