Hey Massey 760 man, I repowered a 1950 T Oliver after that filthy 310 walk-apart blew up. That little 3-71 ,out of a super 99, was less hp than original in the 1950T, but it made the worlds best tractor for pulling 28 ft of LLA drills or running our Hesston 30A stacker in haying season. That little smooth Detroit handled both jobs just fine at 1500 rpm and made great fuel economy. we defeated the pto lockout so we could run the 540 shaft on the 1000 gearset at 1300 engine rpm to get our 540 rpm for the stacker.
