Gentlemen... The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. You might have a different opinion or should I say Appreciation for the "GREEN BOY'S" if you had to walk a day in their shoes because let me tell you its no picnic!!!
To Answer the problem that was brought out... When you install the 2600 with AutoTrac on a Tractor Or Sprayer, you must install a new "Payload" to the SSU (Steering Controller Unit). This new payload will allow the 2600 to communicate to the SSU and also be able to do "Curve Trac" if you have the latest GS2 update on the 2600 which is "1.1.1046", this update also gave the ability to make the demo program of the Auto Swath Control for the Booms to work also but you need to have the latest "Payload" to the SRC (Spray Rate Controller) down loaded or else it wouldn't work. One other thing needed to be done was the original Display (Spray Star Monitor) needed to have the Latest firmware on it or else it would cause a communication problem between the two displays and the SRC and some of the booms might not come on when using the Auto Swath Control. The latest firmware for the Original display is 1.82 B I think, I would have to look that one up but in any case it can be downloaded on the April 7th 06 download or when you update the 2600 with the 1.1.1046 it should update the Original display with this program as well. After all these factors have been taken into consideration you have the minor glitches that come up that have to be addressed from day to day or when someone doesn't fully complete all the information for the documentation and keeps getting error messages saying it wont record or so other thing. You ask yourself how do you learn, find our, figure out, how or when to do all these things. Do you think that Deere Has a School that Teaches everyone before the season starts about these things and then we just go out and do them?? Ha Ha Ha You learn on your own a lot of these things as they come up, You work through the problems, You talk to engineers, DTAC and other specialist to see if anyone else has had similar problems, Deere is trying to Put product out as quick as they can to meet demand (to quick-before its ready) and we work out the bugs in the field, but at least for the most part you have something to work with and are one step closer to the goal. We don't live in a perfect world and if you can come up with a better product then throw your hat into the ring and start producing. Until then, if your not part of the solution,,,you must be part of the problem.
