Southeast Colorado | It has been just unbelievably good wheat filling weather this late Spring. Don't believe I've ever seen anything quite like it.
If you had just been able to keep your wheat alive through the winter and early Spring it should be pretty good. We don't have a single acre of the 2000 dryland acres we planted still alive.
EDIT: I will say, that just like Jon's picture, I think there's going to be a LOT of weeds in the dryland fields left growing. With the cool weather the wheat is maturing very slow (which adds to yield). The weeds are in there due to the thin crop. When the sun comes out those weeds are going to jump! Ought to get interesting.
