E. Kansas | Well that sucks. I hope it gets resolved without extra or late charges. Not sure I'd spend $70 for stop payments, but I'd definitely get another set of checks sent on time for the license renewals. If I sent those myself, I'd include a note about the missing checks and their respective numbers and amounts. Bank should do the same if they resend payments.
One thing I've been doing just to confirm what I mailed was correct, is to take a pic to show the completed check along with the addressed stamped envelope and any voucher/invoice included. At least then I know exactly what I mailed and that everything was correct. Auto-pay used here for everything possible (have for 20 years or so) and don't have to do anything online or schedule any payment, and nothing is relying on the mail. And it's all at no cost as well. | |
