I wonder what happened to the cattle. Some put down?
If I were the buyer, I don't think I'd feel very comfortable paying full price for them any more. If they were insured -- or if commercial transport was being used -- the seller could submit a claim.
The added stress on the cattle alone would not be beneficial to the meat quality. Others probably have injuries that can't be seen.
